Since our founding in 1899, Somerville House has been an integral part of the Brisbane community, with a diverse network of over 1,500 families and 350 dedicated staff members. Our extensive alumni network further strengthens our community, with many former students maintaining strong ties with the school and actively contributing to its ongoing success.
Integral to the continued success of the School is the Somerville House Foundation. Reputed to be the first of its kind at a girls' school in Australia, the Foundation has supported the growth and development of Somerville House through donating back over $10M in support of enhanced school facilities, expanded educational programs, and the provision of vital scholarships and bursaries for students who would otherwise not have had the opportunity of an outstanding education.
2024 marks a significant milestone for Somerville House and the Foundation as we as we unveil 'SomerPartners' - a dynamic community of corporate partners dedicated to supporting our School through financial generosity, sharing of expertise, and valuable time investment aimed at enhancing our students' educational experience.
