Today (Saturday 14 December) we are very proud to announce the OP (Overall Position) results of our Year 12 Class of 2019. Somerville House as a long-standing tradition of academic excellence and this year’s results achieved by the Class of 2019 are no exception.
For the last seven years, Somerville House Year 12 students have been dedicating a couple of afternoons a year, travelling to the Brisbane Youth Detention Centre to participate in an after school touch football game.
Ballerina and current Year 4 student, Eve A is set to brighten the stage of the Lyric Theatre this festive season, having been cast in the upcoming Queensland Ballet production of The Nutcracker at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre.
In a joint venture between Somerville House and St Hilda’s Anglican School for Girls in Perth, recently, language students in Year 10 participated in an innovative bi-coastal French lesson via skype.
Somerville House Year 8 students, Suhani G and Alexandra D have recently taken out the Years 7 and 8 Open Pairs category of the 2019 Premier’s Coding Challenge in the School’s first year of entry.
Thursday 14 November 2019 marked an important milestone for the Somerville House community as the new four-year Strategic Intent was launched to provide an overall direction of the School’s future.
