Somerville House maintains an all-inclusive fee structure, which incorporates compulsory subject-related items pertaining to all students, including a fully supported technology program. 

All students receive an electronic learning device which is fully supported by the School’s ICT Department. Learning for the lower years levels (Prep to Year 2) is supported with an iPad. All other year levels receive a laptop computer. Camps, optional excursions, and non-compulsory subject-related items will be charged and identified separately.

Fee schedules are reviewed and approved annually by the governing body and published in advance of the forthcoming year. Fees may be subject to change, without notice, as a result of changes to Australian legislation and/or regulations. 

Payments 

The annual tuition and boarding fees are charged quarterly for Australian students (citizens or residents) and two times per year for International students. Year 12 students are billed across quarters 1, 2 and 3. 

Payments are accepted via credit card, debit card, BPAY and cheque. Cheques should be made out to ‘Somerville House’.

Discounts  

Somerville House offers a 10% tuition discount to the younger sibling(s) if there are two or more siblings attending Somerville House at the same time. Upon written application and approval a 10% tuition discount may apply for students who have siblings attending Brisbane Boys’ College (BBC), Clayfield College or Sunshine Coast Grammar School. A written application can be submitted to fees@somerville.qld.edu.au.

Voluntary Building Fund (VBF) contributions 

An opportunity to make a tax deductible VBF contribution of $200 per term is provided on every fee account. VBF contributions go to the Somerville House Foundation to support a capital project nominated by the School.

The Foundation will report on how VBF gifts are spent in their 2022 Impact Report.
