On Thursday 2 May 2024, Somerville House Year 11 students together with Year 11 students from other PMSA schools are invited to attend the Youth Leaders’ Forum – an initiative of the PMSA to foster academic excellence and innovation in our students.
Date: Thursday, 2 May 2024
Time: 4.00 pm arrival for a 4.30 pm start (approximately a 5.30 pm finish)
Location: College Hall, Brisbane Boys’ College
Transport: Bus transportation will be provided to and from the venue. Students must meet 3.10pm VPAC, Level 5, Harker Auditorium, to depart 3.30pm. The anticipated return time is approximately 6.00pm.
About the Youth Leaders’ Forum
The forum is designed to inspire and challenge our emerging leaders on how to lead for impact and create meaningful change by listening to the views of a remarkable leader as they share their leadership journey.
This year’s forum will be presented by Macinley Butson, Co-founder of Passionately Curious, and recognised as one of Australia’s top young scientists who is devoted to improving the world through STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). Macinley is an innovator, pioneer, scientist, communicator and above all, a role model who is passionate about making a positive difference.
We are excited to be offering this event to all Year 11 students as a compulsory part of their journey at a PMSA school and we hope you embrace all the benefits this event will offer.
