We are seeking to appoint a Director of Pre-Prep, who will be responsible for the leadership and management of the Pre-Prep year within a whole school framework. 

Reporting Line

The Director of Pre-Prep reports directly to the Head of Junior School, and will work collaboratively with the Assistant Head of Junior School – Teaching and Learning, and Assistant Head of Junior School - Pastoral and Administration.

The Role

The role of Director of Pre-Prep is an important Middle Management role with particular responsibilities for education, pastoral care and day-to-day administration in the Early Learning Centre (ELC). As a member of the Somerville House Staff, the Director of Pre-Prep will support and uphold the values and ethos of Somerville House by providing a professional and positive role model for staff and students. 

The Director of Pre-Prep is expected to support the philosophy and aims of Somerville House and the Presbyterian and Methodist Schools Association (PMSA), including keeping abreast of current and possible future directions and trends in education to enhance the work of Somerville House in the future.

  • current Child-Care First Aid and CPR Qualifications (HLTAID004)

This is a permanent full-time position. The normal hours of duty for this position are 38 hours per week to be worked during the normal office hours of 8.00am and 4.30pm.
