Ways of Giving

There are many ways you can support the Foundation in our vision to provide an exemplary education for current students and future generations.

Make a gift

As a registered charity and deductible gift recipient, gifts directed to the Somerville House Foundation School Building Fund, Scholarships and Bursaries Fund or Cultural Fund, attract a tax deduction.

Any donations, or combined donations of more than $2,000 entitles you to Foundation Membership.

Building Fund

The Building Fund supports the School’s strong commitment to delivering a relevant, first-class learning environment that facilitates exceptional learning outcomes for our students by financially contributing to the development of our educational facilities and capital resources, in line with the School’s Master Plan, to ensure that our students are continually inspired, engaged and challenged to reach their potential.

Scholarship and Bursary Fund

The Scholarship and Bursaries Fund plays an important role in fostering a culture that celebrates and values achievement, diversity and the pursuit of personal excellence. A number of scholarships  are awarded each year to students  who might not normally be able to attend our school, as well assisting current members of our school community who may be experiencing financial difficulty through the provision of bursaries.

Sports Fund

The Sports Fund, in conjunction with the Australian Sports Foundation, allows the community to assist the School, through tax deductible donations, to improve its physical education, sporting programs and activities and to promote the health and wellbeing of current and future students.

Cultural Fund

The Cultural Fund allows the community to make tax deductible donations, supporting the development and delivery of Somerville House’s literary, visual and performing arts, music, craft and design programs to Somerville House students and the wider community.

Leave a gift in your will

Consider becoming a member of the Fewings Fellowship, a Society established to honour bequestors to the School. The Somerville House Foundation Endowment Fund has been established to support the School, its future operations and to provide for the future of Somerville House through economic and government downturns.

The Endowment Fund provides a vehicle for the community to direct bequests and specific gifts. Contact Ms Petrina Gilmore, Director of Philanthropy on (07) 3033 9289 or pgilmore@somerville.qld.edu.au for a confidential discussion.
