The Foundation is delighted to sponsor the annual Honour Before Honours Multimedia Competition with categories for Junior School, Middle Years & Senior Years students.
This year’s theme is Faster, Stronger, Smarter, inspired by the development of Somerfields.
Your entry must address the following question:
How will your participation in school sports, as an individual or member of a team, benefit you in the long term?
You may touch on work culture, future career aspirations or the psychological, physiological or sociological benefits of involvement in sport in your response.
As a multimedia competition your entry can take any form and creativity is encouraged.
Ideas for entries can include, but are not limited to: essays, videos, artwork, photographs.
Prizes
Middle Years student prize - $250
Senior Years student prize - $250
Restrictions
A written piece, such as a proposal or essay, should be no longer than 1000 words.
A video or animation should be no longer than two minutes.
Criteria
To produce a winning entry, you need to:
The judging panel will comprise of representatives from the School and the Foundation.
Winning submissions will be published in Connections if the medium lends itself to print.
Entries to be emailed to Petrina Gilmore at foundation@somerville.qld.edu.au before Friday 6 May, 4.00pm.

Junior School students are invited to participate in a colouring-in competition.

The competition will be judged on neatness, use of colour, creativity and overall presentation.
Junior School Categories & Prizes
Each category winner will be awarded a $50 prize.
Entries can be emailed to Petrina Gilmore at foundation@somerville.qld.edu.au before Friday 6 May, 4.00pm. Please include your (child's) full name and Year in the subject line.
Alternatively, entries can be dropped off to Main Reception with your child's full name and Year noted in the space provided.
