Somerville House parents and students enjoy the networking and resource benefits of an active and supportive Parents and Friends' Association who remain focused on raising money to provide and improve amenities and resources for the School and help Support Groups to meet the particular needs of each student activity.
Members of the P&F Executive Committee, elected at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) held in June each year, manage the affairs of the Association and oversee the management and governance of the Support Groups and two commercial businesses.

General meetings are held each term, with dates, times and locations advised in the Newsletter. These meetings provide an opportunity to keep up-to-date on aspects of School life, including educational or staff changes within the School, and all parents are welcome to attend.

The Association also fosters fellowships between parents, friends, teachers and students, and provides an avenue for parents to learn more
about the educational and other activities of the School while meeting in a social environment.
The Somerville House P&F support the school by raising money to provide amenities and resources to meet the particular needs of student activities.
The P&F Association operates two commercial businesses on the School campus. The Somerwear Uniform Shop and Somerfare Tuckshop cater for the School clothing and stationery requirements and the culinary and nutritional needs of students, these businesses are proudly operated by the Parents & Friends' Association (P&F), with all profits being reinvested into the School.
Parents are encouraged to volunteer their time to assist in the running of the Tuckshop (Somerfare) and the Uniform Shop (Somerware). Working as a volunteer alongside other interested and motivates parents is a rewarding experience and benefits the School.
Somerwear Uniform Shop provides a wide range of new and quality second-hand uniforms and resources with staff available to advise on fittings and the best equipment for your child. Somerwear is proudly operated by the P&F Association, with all profits being reinvested into the School.

Somerfare Tuckshop is an initiative of the Somerville House Parents and Friends' Association and is operated by a proud team of volunteers and staff who understand the importance of healthy, well balanced eating. All profits are reinvested into the Somerville House community.
Tuckshop orders can be easily made online, prior to 9.00am, via the Flexischools website. This is a cashless system which must be utilised for all hot lunch orders and by Junior School students. Middle and Senior School students can make over-the-counter purchases during school breaks.
Somerfare Tuckshop operates between 7.30am to 1.30pm Monday to Friday during School terms.

Roaring 20s Ball – date cancelled It is with great disappointment that the Somerville House Parents and Friends Association advises that the Roaring 20s Ball planned for 30 May 2020 has been cancelled due to the quickly evolving COVID-19 situation. This is a necessary step to safeguard the health and wellbeing of our school community and is in line with the current ban on non-essential gatherings. The Parents and Friends Association is working closely with the school to consider future options for the event. Further details will be made available as soon as possible.
