Public Information Evening with Adair Donaldson - 'Putting Parents in the Picture'

Date:
Thu, 18/02/2010 - 7:00pm - 10:00pm

Somerville House would like to invite you to attend a public information session designed to inform parents about parties, gatherings and the adolescent social scene by Adair Donaldson, a lawyer who has seen how such events can ruin young people’s lives.

This eye opening seminar uses a 16 year old birthday party to show what can occur at teenage gatherings, stopping at various points throughout the party to discuss what is going on and the longer term consequences this can have on teenage girls, boys and their families.

This is not a moral based presentation, nor is it an anti-alcohol campaign, it is more about creating awareness of what is happening in our community and hopefully building solidarity amongst parents. This presentation will also make parents more informed about their own rights and responsibilities as adults and parents.
