Providing exceptional learning and educational outcomes continues to be a strategic priority at Somerville House, with a construction project underway to renovate and refurbish the Technology Services space.

The School will spend $1.8 million in upgrading and expanding the facilities to provide a modern physical space for the Technology Services team to provide a higher level of service to students, parents and staff.

The extension will facilitate collaboration and maximise the use of technology as an educational tool. It includes extending and refurbishing levels 3 and 4 of the existing area to provide more floor space, including a welcoming and comfortable student support lounge and an internal connection to D-block for improved student access.  The extension of the level 5 Mall roof area will also provide more outdoor space with weather protection.
Business Manager, Ms Renee Bromiley said the PMSA and the School Council are committed to developing quality infrastructure and learning spaces for students and staff.

“The extension will address some of the current space restrictions, given the number of Technology Services staff required to service the enrolment, and subsequent staff growth, in recent years,” she said.

“The School’s educational offering will be enriched by these new Technology Services amenities.”

The project is expected to be completed by the end of June 2019.
