Aquatic Centre

The Somerville House Aquatic and Sports Centre houses an Olympic sized pool and well equipped and resourced gymnasium. Fully qualified staff are available to assist training both in the pool and the gymnasium.

Dress standards

It is a condition of entry that all patrons wear appropriate attire within the complex. Swimwear must be of a training type design. Gym clothing with enclosed shoes is required in the complex.

Complex policies

Patrons are reminded that the complex forms part of the Somerville House School for Girls. Members of the public are asked to abide by some of the policies of the School whilst on the property.

Whilst we are open to the public, we also conduct co-operative use between public users and the School staff and students. We make every attempt to inform members of the public to changes in usage and closures. There are occasions, however, when pool space availabiliy may change at short notice.

School Policy that is enforced is as follows:

• There is to be no sunbathing around the pool at any time.
• Dress standards are set out at the entrance to the pool
