The Jessie Andrews Archives was named in honour of past student and Somerville House staff member, the late Miss Jessie Andrews.

Miss Andrews was a student at Somerville House from 1924 to 1927 and enjoyed various roles, as a form, senior house and swimming mistress, while on staff from 1936 to 1955.

The coveted Andrews Cup trophy, an Interschool sports competition for students of independent Junior Schools, was donated by Miss Andrews and her sister, Miss Isabel Andrews, who was the Head of Junior School at Somerville House from 1929 to 1957. The School still enjoys a long and proud tradition with the Andrews Cup sporting association.

Miss Jessie Andrews was responsible for much of the early archival work at Somerville House and was instrumental in compiling the roll call of students for the 1949 History of the School.

Today, the School Archives is located in the former MK Jarrett School of Music and include a collection of admission registers, photographs, school magazines from the first issue dating back to June 1900, annual reports, sports programs, architectural drawings, badges and uniforms.
